Q: Can I moor my boat at the resort?
A: Yes! Boat mooring for boats up to 5M is
available directly in front of all our townhouses;
we also have a jetty for larger boats.
Q: Is there anything else I need to bring for my
boat?
A: Boat fenders are recommended when mooring
your boat in from of each townhouse, we have a small
stock of loan fenders available at the resort.
Q: Where can I park my boat trailer?
A: Boat trailers can be safely parked on the
nature strip opposite the resort (a quiet court with
little traffic). A chain & padlock are recommended
to secure your trailer to the trees on the nature
strip
Q: Can we fish at Portside?
A: Definitely! Every townhouse has an
exclusive use that fronts onto the water. Bream,
Moses Perch, Flathead, Mud Crabs and the occasional
Mangrove Jack have been caught at Portside; Estuary
Cod have also been a bonus catch in crab pots for
some guests. For those with boats the Noosa river
system and offshore waters and reefs provide a
variety of fishing
Q: Do you hire Fishing Rods?
A: Yes, fishing rods are available for hire
at Reception, subject to availability.
Q: Where can I get bait?
A: Bait is available for purchase at
Reception.
Q: Where is Portside Noosa Waters?
A: It is situated right on the water in Noosa
Waters on the corner of Gibson Road & Portside Court
approximately one and a half hours drive from
Brisbane and 40 minutes from the Sunshine Coast
Airport.
Q: What facilities are nearby?
A: Portside Noosa Waters is perfectly located
a short stroll to The Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club,
The Waterfront Restaurant where many weddings are
also held and parklands along the Noosa river with
an abundance of activities children’s playground,
BBQ’s, seating pavilions, exercise equipment, sandy
river beaches, fishing, boating and dozens of café’s
and restaurant opposite the parkland.
Q: What are the temperatures in Noosa?
A: The Sunshine Coast’s temperatures are very
dependable. In the cooler months Noosa’s day
temperature is around 20-23 degrees. In the hotter
season it reaches around 28-30.
Q: Are there any restaurants nearby?
A: Yes there is an abundant choice of great
licensed and BYO restaurants and café’s within a 5
to 10 minute walk from Portside, along Gympie
Terrace and Thomas Street
Q: Where can I shop and buy groceries locally?
A: Woolies are a 2 minute drive at Noosa
Village Shopping Centre there are several other
supermarkets all within 5-10min drive.
Q: Is there a bottle shop close by?
A: There are 2 liquor outlets nearby. One in
the Noosa Village Shopping Centre and the other on
the opposite side of the Noosa Village car park
Q: Is there public transport nearby?
A: We have a bus stop directly outside the
resort and close by on Gympie Terrace.
Q: How far away is the river?
A: Approximately 4 minutes walk
Q: Is the beach accessible? How far away is it?
A: Noosa’s glorious main beach is a 7 minute
drive from Portside. However, 4 minutes walk from
Portside is the Lions Park Beach, which is a river
beach. Fantastic for kids, no waves, nice and
shallow. Both our kids love spending time there.
